Note the long sleeves and hat - both were popular during the medieval period, but fashions for lesser mortals didn’t change very quickly in those days and he would be perfectly at home  in a Tudor setting.

His hair is cut in the pudding basin style popular during this era.

He looks terrific carrying a lute or a flute!
